OUR DOCTORS
DR MEGAN HUNTER
Dr Megan Hunter is a General Practitioner with a strong interest in Women’s and Children’s Health. She has worked at Warburton Medical Group since 2009 and is an active member of her community. She is passionate about keeping people strong and fit (physically and mentally) so they are able to live their best lives, and feels privileged to share the journey with patients, getting to know people and often caring for multiple generations of a family.
She feels particularly rewarded by supporting people at major transitions in their life – the joy of new parenthood, and through grief and loss, and crisis – and brings a compassionate and thorough approach to individual, family and community health.
Megan and her family moved to Warburton to enjoy the country lifestyle and to explore the forests, mountain and rivers of the region. Her passions include trail running for fitness, which she started by chasing her young children around the river, but now enjoys with a community of amazing local women.
Megan’s words of wellness are, “Make time for wellness and self-care. Schedule time for exercise, rest, play and sleep; they are absolutely essential to wellbeing. It’s easy to push our priorities to the back when we are busy, unwell or stressed, but you’re worth the effort.”
She encourages patients to set goals that bring joy and work towards the reward of achieving them. Megan is completing a challenge to run around Australia virtually – even if it takes 10 years!
